IF YOU'RE FLYING TO DURANGO...
The Durango-La Plata County Airport (DRO) is served by several daily non-stop arrivals on a year-round schedule, including direct non-stop service from Denver, CO on United Airlines and Frontier Airlines, Phoenix, AZ on America West/US Airways and Dallas Fort Worth on American Airlines.
Because the airport is located just south of Durango, flights are rarely affected by mountain weather, unlike flights into other mountain resort airports. The Durango-La Plata County Airport offers several daily non-stop departures to three different major airports on four major carriers/charter operators.
The non-stop destinations are major airports (United Express & Frontier Airlines - Denver, America West Express/US Airways - Phoenix and American Airlines - Dallas Fort Worth). Albuquerque, NM is also only a 3 – 3 ½ hour drive from Durango. Southwest Airlines, and other low fare service is available from Albuquerque.
